Earthsong (Na Mele O Ka Aina) is a unique sanctuary on the Big Island of Hawai'i.

It shares its island home with an active volcano and one of the only green sand beaches in the world. Earthsong has received people from many countries and diverse backgrounds who are drawn to the journey of self discovery and who share a love of this sacred island. People come to Earthsong to celebrate and explore the fullness (or emptiness) of their lives, and to connect more deeply with the inner and outer landscapes. Accommodations are simple and all of the cottages are solar powered.

Earthsong is located between Na'alehu and Ocean View at the southernmost part of the island. Southpoint (Ka Lae) is known historically as a place of worship, and ceremony is still practiced by Hawaiian people at the heiau, one of the oldest on the island.

This nurturing sanctuary has walking meditation paths which meander throughout 3 acres of luscious gardens, fruit trees and tropical plants, interwoven with stone mandalas, an ancient lava tube (cave), a ceremonial medicine wheel and a Goddess temple.

Green sands beach is a 45 minute walk from Ka Lae and Punalu'u black sand beach, a sea turtle refuge, is a 25 minute drive east of Earthsong. Volcano National Park and the City of Refuge are less than an hour's drive.

Councils meet several times a year and are a nourishing part of life at Earthsong. In between councils, people come for personal retreats or to spend time with others on the path of awakening. Various teachers, artists and writers also bring groups to Earthsong, to share their gifts in this healing environment.

Work trade is available throughout the year…
